Jake McTigue
After growing up in Telluride, attending the University of Puget Sound, traveling and working in China and South America, Jake McTigue began his real estate career in Berkeley, California. In his first year as a realtor, Jake was awarded 'Rookie of the Year,' given annually to a new agent, and in the next five year period, between 2004-2008, was a 'Top Producer,' acknowledging that he was performing in the top 7% of the company's national network.
At the end of 2008, the mountain lifestyle called him back to the San Juan's and he joined Peaks Real Estate Sotheby's International Realty in Telluride. Since returning to his hometown, he has seamlessly integrated his real estate success from California to Colorado.
Jake's main business goal stems from his desire to give clients the best service possible, and he equally enjoys the intellectual game of holistically understanding and studying real estate and market trends. By focusing on forming respectful client relationships, Jake continually forges winning business partnerships.
In addition to matching multiple clients with their dream residential homes, Jake listed and sold one of the most notable, commercial/residential buildings in the Town of Telluride, The Emporium; he listed and sold the Villas at Cortina, a high-end, ski-in-ski-out, 15-unit project in the Mountain Village and is currently listing the individual units; and he is the listing broker for the Rosewood property, an exclusive, five-acre, land parcel in the Mountain Village.
Jake is also a husband, father, avid skier, mountain biker and hunter. His investment in the Telluride community goes far beyond his business ventures. He serves as the vice-chair for The Town of Telluride Planning and Zoning Commission; Director for the Telluride Association of Realtors; and is on the Board of Directors for Bright Futures, a local non profit that focuses on early childhood education.
